Sustainable Finance

ESG at Enery
Our Sustainable Financing Framework

To support the growth of our renewable portfolio and strengthen transparency in how capital is deployed, we have established a Sustainable Financing Framework governing the issuance of sustainable financing instruments and the allocation of proceeds to eligible projects.

The Framework is aligned with recognized market standards, including the ICMA Green Bond Principles (June 2025), the LMA Green Loan Principles (March 2025), the LMA Social Loan Principles (March 2025), and, where applicable, the EU Taxonomy Regulation. It is structured around four core components: use of proceeds, project evaluation and selection, management of proceeds, and reporting.

Overview of eligible categories

Sustainable finance proceeds may finance or refinance Eligible Assets and Projects (and related lifecycle expenditures), in line with the eligibility criteria and governance set out in the Framework.

Eligible categories include:

  • Renewable energy (solar, onshore wind, hydropower)
  • Green technologies (including BESS and grid-connection / grid-supporting infrastructure such as substations and switchyards, and related upgrades)
  • Powered land/ grid-ready sites (enabling infrastructure developed and controlled by Enery)
  • Biodiversity restoration, conservation and enhancement initiatives
  • Eligible social activities, such as affordable basic infrastructure and access to essential services

Proceeds are not used to finance or support non-renewable (fossil) energy, or other excluded activities such as weapons/ defence, environmentally harmful resource extraction, gambling, or tobacco.

Reporting

Allocation and impact reports will be published at least annually while any sustainable financing instruments remain outstanding.

External review

Enery has appointed Sustainable Fitch Inc. to provide an independent external review of the Framework’s alignment with market standards and the relevant core components.
