About Enery.Labs
Where academic research meets real-world energy markets

Solar, storage, flexible demand, 24/7 green supply – the energy transition is accelerating. At Enery, we believe that transforming Europe’s energy system requires not only capital and infrastructure, but also bold new ideas and rigorous research.

With Enery.Labs, we invite Master’s and PhD candidates from across Europe and beyond to collaborate with us on cutting-edge topics in energy systems, markets, and technology. Selected scholars will benefit from dedicated mentorship, exposure to real data and projects, and the opportunity to present their work at the Cross Border Dialogue Conference in Czechia.

Application
Who is Enery.Labs for?

The program is aimed at driven early-career researchers who want to turn their academic work into real-world impact:

  • Master’s students currently working on their thesis in any energy-related discipline
  • PhD candidates working on academic papers or research projects in advanced energy fields

We particularly welcome applicants with a strong quantitative background, interest in energy markets, and passion for accelerating the energy transition.

Research Focus Areas
What topics are we looking for?

We invite applications in a broad range of energy-related fields, with a focus on the following areas:

  • AI-driven portfolio optimization & energy trading algorithms
  • Energy storage and flexibility management (e.g. batteries, market design)
  • Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) design & risk hedging for industrial off-takers
  • Power-to-heat systems & renewable industrial heat integration
  • 24/7 green energy solutions & energy transition in CEE markets

Work outside these themes is also welcome if it clearly supports the decarbonization of energy systems.
