Overview of the position

The VP Accounting and Controlling is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing operational efficiency, and financial integrity of the accounting function in Austria. Main:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the accounting in alignment with the organization’s objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and standardization to enhance productivity and service delivery.

 

Operational Management:

  • Overview of day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliation activities for Austrian entities and potentially in the future, other entities of the group.

 

Internal controls:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide training and guidance to finance and operational teams on internal control best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Design and implement effective internal control procedures and processes to mitigate identified risks and ensure the integrity and reliability of financial information.
  • Perform testing of key internal controls to assess their operational effectiveness, identify control deficiencies, and recommend remedial actions as necessary. Establish monitoring mechanisms to track ongoing compliance and effectiveness of controls.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of internal control processes, including control matrices, narratives, flowcharts, and testing results. Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing control deficiencies, findings, and recommendations for management review.

 

Tax Compliance:

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including VAT, corporate income tax, and other relevant taxes.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance.

 

Audit Support:

  • Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Establish and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Implement audit recommendations to enhance internal controls and processes.

 

Process Improvement:

  • Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and develop solutions to streamline operations and improve accuracy.
  • Implement best practices for financial management and reporting.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including finance leadership, functional heads, and external partners.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on accounting matters, providing guidance and support to business units and other departments as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on performance, address concerns, and solicit feedback for continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Completed training in the field of accounting and accounting (WIFI accounting course is a must)
  • Proficiency in German and English
  • 7+ years of professional experience.
  • Confident in using MS Office and accounting software and ideally have SOX knowledge.
  • Understanding of current laws, standards and regulations of accounting and tax law
  • Excellent understanding of numbers and UGB
  • Resilience and ability to maintain an overview even in difficult situations.

Enery is an independent renewable energy provider dedicated to supplying its customers with reliable, affordable, long-term green energy. Your role will be to provide support to the M&A team with executing acquisitions as well as debt and capital raises. Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring of daily processes related to forecasting, scheduling, trading and price data collection and processing.
  • Monitoring of the process of receiving metering data from SCADA in real time
  • Assisting in implementation of renewables plants in software applications/ETRMs
  • Offering measures for optimizing the trading processes
  • Creating and submitting orders to the SEE and CEE PXs’ spot markets (Day-ahead and Intraday segments) based on forecasted production updates.

TASKS :

  1. Project Identification and Assessment:

Lead the development of renewable energy projects, including conducting feasibility studies, securing permits and approvals, negotiating land leases, running subsidy process and managing stakeholder relationships.

As the Renewable Energy Projects Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of wind and solar energy projects until the start of the construction in Romania. You will play a pivotal role in driving forward our renewable energy initiatives, ensuring the successful implementation of projects from conception to completion.

 

TASKS :

  1. Project Identification and Assessment:

Identify and assess potential sites for wind and solar energy projects in Romania, considering factors such as land availability, resource potential, regulatory requirements, potential subsidies and environmental impact.

 

 

  1. Project Development and M&A Support:

Lead the development of renewable energy projects, including conducting feasibility studies, securing permits and approvals, negotiating land leases, running subsidy process and managing stakeholder relationships.

 

Support M&A and central development functions by assessing new renewable energy projects.

 

  1. Financial Analysis and Planning:

Develop project budgets and financial plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives and financial targets. With the support of the Corporate development team based in Vienna, conduct financial analysis to evaluate the economic viability of projects, including cost estimation, and return on investment analysis.

 

  1. Regulatory Compliance:

Stay abreast of relevant regulations, policies, and incentives related to renewable energy development in Romania. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

 

  1. Project Management:

Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery. Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to execute projects efficiently until start of the construction.

 

  1. Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with development of the projects and implement strategies to mitigate them. Proactively address any challenges or obstacles that may arise during the course of project implementation until start of the construction.

 

  1. Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare regular progress reports, presentations, and documentation for internal stakeholders and external partners. Maintain accurate records of project activities, expenditures, and outcomes.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on wind projects.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of financial modeling and valuation
  • Basic technical understanding of wind and PV design
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluency in Romanian and English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.

Site Manager responsibilities:

Main responsibilities include:

  • Project management during whole project lifetime, and especially during the construction stage, leading, aligning, and coordinating internal stakeholders (Construction, Engineering, Development, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Commercial, M&A, ESG and O&M…) and external stakeholders (technical advisors, lenders, EPC companies, suppliers, consultants, DSO and TSO, etc.).
  • Deal with EPC/BOP external companies during whole construction until final acceptance of the projects within the highest H&SE standards and within timeline and budget.
  • Lead handover process from construction side to O&M function when project is completed.
  • Lead from a construction side the handover from Development to Construction when project reaches RTB stage.
  • Provide technical construction support during development stage (prior RTB) to Development function in order to be able to run a smooth transition to construction stage.
  • Lead tender process with local EPCs or BOPs suppliers, comparing, challenging, improving, and selecting best approach both in Romanian and English language. Also, leading Enery public tenders in required cases.

 

Other responsibilities include:

  • Become a key link to ensure easy communication among all the internal parties in Enery involved in the development, completion, and operation of the projects, including development team, construction team, M&A team, procurement team and O&M team.
  • Guide procurement function in order to get proper quotation from different suppliers, making a comparison on best technology suitable for the project and making a selection of the final supplier aligned with Head of Operations and Construction and Head of procurement.
  • Support engineering function for them to provide enough information such as PVsyst simulations and basic layouts to other internal stakeholders (development, M&A, modelling, etc.) being able to perform their tasks.
  • Technical support for existing and new assets, optimizing design in terms of costing, generation, construction and ESG requirements.
  • Give technical support to Romanian business development team in order for them to be able to deal with technical queries during development stage from different stakeholders (municipalities, TSO, DSO).
  • Provide technical support for potential new acquisition projects by the M&A team in order to properly assess new opportunities (site visits, permitting support, yield assessment and simulations through engineering function…) identifying potential risks.
  • Manage internal requests workload establishing proper timeline prioritizing among different stakeholders and projects.
  • Support Enery’s growth.
  • Strictly follow Enery’s compliance rules and embrace our 100% transparency culture.
  • In case due to workload additional PMs are needed to assist on hiring process and assist them in the preparation of the construction works and management of the different stakeholders.
  • Provide support to the O&M Enery team in Romania
  • Commercial understanding of PV projects.
  • Regular traveling to the site locations will be required. If working on site unreachable from Bucharest, travel and accommodation will be paid by the Company.

 

Candidate specification:

  • 3+ years of experience in a related role, specifically in utility-scale Solar Power Plant projects.
  • University degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
  • User knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel; familiarity with MS Project is a plus.
  • Knowledge and expertise in Autocad for technical drawings and design work as a plus.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing Solar Power Plant projects.

Roles & Responsibilities
• To oversee the complete maintenance and operational service of our PV power plants: Operation and maintenance of PVP equipment and electrical infrastructure
• To carry out the maintenance activities at the plant following procedures and O&M manuals; To
execute all the activities following HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) procedures. To record all
the maintenance activities.
• To have/quickly acquire necessary skills to supervise the operation of plant through the SCADA. Dealing with emergency situations from the monitoring system
• To respond to emergency calls and SCADA alarms and take necessary actions
• Ensuring regular revisions within set deadlines in accordance with the law and valid decrees
• Coordination of suppliers and supervision of their work
• Keep control of the correct use and utilization of tools, machinery and components of the plant
• Maintenance of inverters (Central and String inverters knowledge is an advantage)
• Control the warehouse inventory and properly fill of spare parts transaction, make inventories of the
warehouse following instructions of the supervisors
• Help to prepare reports as per supervisor instructions

Required knowledge and skills

• Technical education in the electrical field
• At least 5 years of experience as Electrical Engineer or Electrician
• Minimum 3 year of specific experience in operating, maintaining and controlling the plant equipment and electrical infrastructure of PV plants– DC and AC voltages with different ranges; PV Inverter Maintenance experience; Electronic equipment repair; Awareness of Occupational Health & Safety
• Ability to work independently, conscientiously, carefully and responsibly
• Proven experience in interfacing with grid operator/grid dispatchers for switching procedures (for e.g. shutting down the PV Plant)
• ANRE certification is an advantage
• Certification for and experience in inverter maintenance service level 1-3 is an advantage
• Certification for Operation High Voltage Equipment is an advantage
