Job Description: M&A VP / Associate (To be based in Vienna, Austria)

 

Role Description

Enery is an operations-led renewable power infrastructure investment company that provides affordable and reliable clean energy to its customers. We are a growth company focused on both acquiring operating renewable power plants and developing new renewable power plants.

Having successfully closed investments of 156 MW Solar PV portfolio, we aim to continue growing our platform in the region. Given a strong and extensive M&A pipeline to be executed in the next years, we are looking for a full-time VP or Associate starting immediately.

Your role will be to provide support to the M&A team with executing acquisitions as well as debt and capital raises. Furthermore, you will lead/project manage transactions including advisor coordination, participating in SPA negotiations, due diligence, coordination of the valuation work stream (with the support of our Analysts) and present transactions to senior management and shareholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project management and execution of both acquisition and financing transactions
  • Support in SPA and financing documentation negotiations
  • With the support of our junior BD team, lead the valuation and numerical analysis of potential acquisition targets
  • Compile investment memoranda and other materials for project acquisitions
  • Working with advisors, consolidating and challenging their input for financial models and valuation
  • Coordinate advisors during due diligence processes, analysing and challenging key findings
  • Present potential acquisitions/investments to senior management
  • Support the Finance & Operations teams with financial analysis and budgeting

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Economics or Finance at/from a top-tier university with a track record of excellent academic performance
  • At least 4 years of experience in investment banking, project finance or private equity is required
  • Strong quantitative skills including extensive experience with financial models and valuation techniques
  • Experience in project management, in particular leading transactions and advisor coordination
  • Experience in renewable power industry is advantageous, but not required
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage changing tasks
  • Proficiency in using Excel, Word and Power-Point (financial modelling skills are a must)
  • Fluency in English is essential (another European language would be advantageous)
  • Flexible, open-minded and enthusiastic team player with an international mindset
  • Be responsible for transactions and take full ownership of your projects

Job Description: HR assistant (To be based in Vienna)

Having successfully closed investments of 156 MW Solar Photovoltaic portfolio, we aim to continue growing our platform in the region. We are looking for a strong candidate to support HR manager and all company as an HR assistant.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
• Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources manager
• Compile and update employee records
• Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)
• Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes
• Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
• Communicate with state authorities when necessary
• Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
• Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees


Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related field
• Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative management practices and procedures
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle tasks independently
• Self- starter and proactive personality
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in German and English is essential
• Flexible, open-minded and enthusiastic team player with an international mindset
• Solid knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power-Point

Job Description: Paralegal / Legal Intern (To be based in Vienna)

Having successfully closed investments of 156 MW Solar Photovoltaic portfolio, we aim to continue growing our platform in the region. We are looking for a strong candidate to support our legal team.


Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support regarding legal corporate matters in relation with internal contacts and external parties (external legal counsel, notary, etc.)
• Contribute to answering day to day questions from the various departments of the company (M&A, Project Development, Finance, etc.)
• Follow-up on Corporate law issues with external counsels from various jurisdictions (AT, CZ, BG, SK, RO, SL, EE)
• Review and format simple contracts, other legal and technical documentation, undertake legal research, etc.
• Participate to implementing the Company’s compliance program and conducting compliance process
• Preparation of presentations and training materials for the legal team
• Administrative assistance to the Senior Legal Counsel and Junior Legal Counsel
• Review invoices for payments
• Working with various business units and functions in various countries (AT, CZ, BG, SK, RO, SL, EE)

Requirements

• Final year law student OR completed bachelor/master’s law degree in Austrian University
• Experience in Austrian Corporate law is welcome
• Previous experience as a paralegal in a company or in a law firm is welcome
• Knowledge in another European law country is a plus
• Knowledge of English and German is mandatory
• Knowledge of other CEE languages is a plus
• Flexible, hands-on and relationship building skills
• Good communication skills on various levels
• Team player and multi-tasker
• Must be able to travel internationally on occasional basis
• Enthusiastic about renewable energy
