Job Description: Tax Compliance Manager (To be based in Vienna, Austria)

As the Tax Compliance Manager, you will work closely together with all the members of the Finance Team situated in different locations and report to the Head of Tax.

This newly created role is an exciting opportunity to join our Global Tax Function with a primary focus on tax compliance and tax accounting.

You will be responsible for ensuring all tax compliance is filed/prepared accurately and timely.  It includes coordinating and reviewing details with internal personnel and external advisors and reviewing Statutory Financial Statements for Tax Purposes. You will also provide support on the preparation/review of IC agreements, monitoring of Intercompany Transactions, Tax accounting and preparation and or maintenance of the tax book values in subsidiaries.  

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

Global Tax Compliance:

  • Manage Tax Compliance with support of the Finance team and our tax outsourcing partners
  • Review tax returns and/or related documents and propose necessary corrections to ensure proper completion of the forms, attachments of supporting documentation and accuracy of mathematical calculations
  • Monitor the tax basis in subsidiaries
  • Review of Statutory Financial Statements from a tax perspective
  • Ensure that we have the relevant certificates of residence to claim the benefits of the DD Tax Treaty.
  • Preparation of the Austrian CFC calculation. 
  • Assisting in drafting and coordination of intercompany agreements,  
  • Review of Intercompany transactions to ensure compliance with evolving tax laws

Tax accounting

  • Provide support to the Head of tax on the first implementation of a Tax Package
  • Ensure current and deferred tax expense, deferred tax assets and liabilities, tax payables and tax reserves are adequately maintained
  • Assist in preparation/review of the annual tax provision and tax footnotes of certain entities of the Group.

Other international tax matters

  • Facilitate the resolution of miscellaneous domestic and international tax issues.
    • Respond to business inquiries
    • Assist in gathering and preparing data for special project, such as moving cash between countries, valuations etc.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degreein Accounting or Finance (MBA or CPA with emphasis in Tax preferred) 
  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in corporate income tax and tax accounting. 
  • Strong motivation to support the growth of the company and ability to adapt to new roles and challenges

Job Description: O&M Manager (To be based in Vienna, Austria)

 

Role Description

One of our main goals is to control the entire operational value chain and consequently we aim to control the operation and maintenance processes in our Portfolio in Austria with a dedicated O&M Manager, who will co-ordinate local service providers and set up internal O&M team.

We are looking for a strong candidate with relevant experience (5+ years, preferably in Austria) in the Solar industry, who can control the day-to-day operations, coordinate contractors, organize site inspections and repairs, report to management and be responsible for Health
& Safety of the Portfolio.

 

Tasks

• Supervision and coordination of O&M and other service providers and contractors

• Key contact person for distribution companies, local state authorities and other local stakeholders

• Monitor production and outages

• Report key KPIs to Enery’s management in close cooperation with the Portfolio Asset Manager

• Work with other Enery teams, including Asset Management, Finance, M&A, Engineering and Construction to maximize the overall performance of assets

• Supervise annual plant inspections and revisions and other major O&M activities

• Improve operations, i.e. follow and implement modern and innovative technologies – for monitoring, analytics, automation of key work streams – use of drones and cleaning robots

• Supervision & Implementation of Health & Safety procedures, in accordance with Enery’s policy and local legislation

  • Management of relations with internal O&M team;
  • Cooperation with authorities, e.g. Fund Security of the Energy System (FSES), Municipality, Sustainable Energy Development Agency (SEDA), TSO, grid operators including reporting, processing and monitoring of the billing process and ensuring on-time payments as per the contractual obligations
    • Responsibility for the reporting as per Remit regulation;
    • Management of grid outages by liaising closely with the TSO (transmission system operator);
    • Responsibility for submitting information to SEDA regarding issuing the Guarantees of Origin (GO)

Key responsibilities

• Support Enery’s growth in the CEE Region
• Actively participate in the development and implementation of company HSE procedures and local
instructions
• Proactively identify risk areas at the company level and contribute to the implementation of mitigation

• Liaise with all functions, including Construction and Operations to ensure compliance with legal
requirements/ corporate standards and continuous improvement of working practices and processes
• Support offices and operational teams in conducting risk assessments and ensure measures are

Qualifications

• BSc (or higher university degree) in Health and Safety/ Sustainability/ Renewable energy (or another
technical field)
• Health and safety qualification (NEBOSH certificate/ diploma or similar)
• Relevant environmental qualification (desirable)
• ISO 45001/14001 Auditor or Lead auditor certification (desirable)

Experience

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in similar roles (e.g., HSE Specialist, Environmental advisor, H&S
Supervisor, etc.)
• Knowledge and experience in the development, implementation and operation of Health, Safety and
Environmental management systems
• Knowledge and experience in identifying hazards and evaluating risk
• Knowledge and experience in conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Experience working in large/ international organisations and within multidisciplinary teams
• Experience conducting HSE audits and inspections is beneficial but not essential
• Experience in renewable power industry and/or construction industry is beneficial but not essential

Having successfully closed investments of 192 MW Solar PV portfolio, we aim to develop our greenfield portfolio in the CEE region. Given a strong and extensive development pipeline to be executed in the next years, we are looking for a Head of Engineering to lead our internal and external PVP planners  in order to provide conceptual and detailed designs of photovoltaic plants and support development, engineering and construction of PVP projects. 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Lead Enery Engineering and design team for Enery pipeline across CEE region 
  • Interface between Engineering and Design TEAM with:

Internal parties: 

  • Enery Development team 
  • Enery Construction team 
  • Enery M&A team 
  • Enery Procurement team 

External parties: 

  • Technical advisors (Technical DD) 
  • Lenders  
  • Suppliers 
  • Local Transmission and Distribution system operators 
  • EPC companies (together with Construction team) 
  • Management of design processes by using internal (Enery Design and Engineering team) and external (third party subcontractors) teams for reaching demanding timelines 
  • Together with Construction team to prepare final designs and specifications project according to country specifics 
  • Manage internal requests workload establishing proper timeline prioritizing among different stakeholders and projects 
  • Technical support for existing and new assets, optimizing design in terms of costing, construction and ESG requirements 
  • Plan proper training for existing team to be fully up to date with new market trends 
  • Collaborate in selection of new technologies and provide technical feedback on Enery innovation initiatives 

 

Requirements:  

  • At least 8 years of work experience in construction of PV projects globally or in the CEE region 
  • Technical Engineering degree  
  • Ability to manage design projects from development and planning to installation and execution  
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills  
  • Enthusiastic personality with can-do attitude  
  • Flexible, open-minded and enthusiastic team player with an international mindset – Enthusiastic about renewable energy 
  • Knowledge on specific software available in the renewable energy market in order to manage designers’ teams using such tools (e.g. PVsyst, PVcase, Helios3D, AutoCAD, MS Project)

Angesichts der bestehenden Entwicklungspipeline, die in den nächsten Jahren umgesetzt werden soll, suchen wir eine/ einen Projektentwickler*in, der/die unsere Aktivitäten in allen Phasen in Österreich unterstützt.

Die Aufgabe wird sein, sowohl Freiflächen PV-Anlagen in Österreich, als auch Projekte für Gewerbe- und Industriekunden zu entwickeln. Dabei liegt der Fokus auf dem Abschluss von Verträgen mit Industriekunden und der Entwicklung der Projekte bis zur Baureife (RTB).

Ihre Aufgaben:

  • Leitung der Entwicklung von PV- Dach- und Freiflächenanlagen bis zur Baureife (RTB)
  • Akquisition von Gewerbe- und Industriekunden
  • Analyse von Potentialen für Gewerbe- und Industriekunden
  • Vorbereitung und Einreichung von sämtlichen genehmigungsrelevanten Unterlagen
  • Durchführung der notwendigen behördlichen Genehmigungsverfahren
  • Zusammenarbeit und Koordination von externen Beratern, wie z.B. Raumplanern
  • Einreichen von Netzanschlussanträgen und Koordinierung des Netzzutrittsvertragsabschlusses
  • Ansprechpartner*in für Behörden und Grundstückseigentümer
  • Identifikation von Projekteflächen
  • Verhandlungen und Abschlüsse von Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) und Contracting Verträgen mit Industriekunden
  • Unterstützung bei der Entwicklung von neuen Projektideen

    Ihr Profil:         

    • 7-10 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Entwicklung erneuerbarer Energien von der Umwidmung bis zum Bau
    • Erfahrungen auf dem Gebiet der Freiflächen und/oder Dachflächenentwicklung sind von Vorteil

  • In close cooperation with the Business Development team, work on valuation and numerical analysis of potential greenfield developments investments
