Enery, a leading renewable energy provider in Central and Eastern Europe, has signed a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with OMV, an integrated chemicals, fuels and energy company. This deal represents Enery’s second PPA in Austria and the thirteenth across the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region in the last two and a half years, further reinforcing Enery’s position as one of the the largest and most trusted PPA providers in CEE. Beginning in 2026, this partnership will supply OMV with approximately 9 GWh of renewable electricity annually.
The green electricity will be sourced from Enery’s PV facility located alongside a major highway in Austria. The project is designed to generate approximately 9 GWh of renewable energy annually, which is equivalent to supplying 4000 homes with clean energy. This project will incorporate innovative Agri-PV technology, allowing for dual land use by combining solar energy production with sustainable agricultural practices. The integration of sheep grazing and biodiversity measures will improve the facility’s environmental impact, ensuring that renewable energy generation supports local ecosystems.
Under the agreement, the clean energy provided will adhere to EU RFNBO (Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin) standards.
Severin Vartigov, Chief Commercial Officer at Enery, stated: “We are proud to collaborate with OMV, a leader in Austria’s industry. This agreement highlights Enery’s commitment to providing reliable and impactful renewable energy solutions for the CEE region.”
