Enery has sponsored a 100% electric, disability-accessible school bus to the community of Topalu village, Constanța County, marking the company’s largest individual ESG investment to date, valued at approximately EUR 170,000.
The project addresses a long-standing local challenge: ensuring that children can reach school safely and consistently. For years, many children in Topalu had to walk several kilometers to school or rely on an outdated, frequently broken vehicle that was inaccessible to children with disabilities.
Enery financed and delivered a modern electric minibus to replace the old vehicle. The bus became operational in January 2026 and now provides safe, reliable daily transport for hundreds of children, helping ensure uninterrupted access to education and supporting social inclusion.
“We saw a real problem in the community and understood that the solution had to be reliable, inclusive, and aligned with our values as a renewable energy company. This project ensures that no child will miss school simply because the journey is too long or unsafe” said Răzvan Căvescu, Head of Operations.
Topalu is located near the Dorobanțu Wind Farm, where Enery operates 15 wind turbines with a total capacity of 45 MW.
Throughout 2025, Enery worked closely with Hârșova 3D Association, local authorities, school representatives, parents, and members of the local community to identify the problem and implement a sustainable solution. Hârșova 3D Association played a key role in facilitating the project, supporting its coordination, implementation, and the successful inauguration of the new asset.
The electric bus offers zero tailpipe emissions, low noise levels, and a real-world autonomy of approximately 400 kilometers. It is fully disability-friendly and contributes to decarbonization by avoiding an estimated 14–16 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year, while improving air quality and reducing noise along daily routes.
